One of the best parts about having incredible guests is seeing what they do after being on our show.
We sent 11-year-old hairstylist Vince to one of the biggest hair shows in the country, Matrix Destination 2020, and he had a blast. "I learned so much and I met so many people that I look up to," Vince says.
Culinary scholarship winner Nick is attending the Culinary Institute of America, where he recently took part in an "externship" at Chef Michael White's Michelin-Starred restaurant Marea in NYC. "I cannot thank you enough for this opportunity," Nick says.
Dallas school bus driver Curtis — who used his honeymoon funds to buy kids Christmas gifts — has been promoted to relationships specialist in his district. "Not only that," Curtis tells us, "but people from around the world have reached out to me [about] motivational speaking."
North Philly barber P. Michael Boone, who runs the Jr. Barber Academy and uses haircuts to help give teens opportunity, says, "Ever since being on your show, we have been able to come back to Philadelphia and be such a blessing to the young people here. I have created a boardroom instead of a classroom for them to learn how to cut hair. I also created a barbershop for them to give out free haircuts to the people of our community."
And food rescue group Cultivate has moved into a brand-new facility! "Cultivate's main mission is feeding hungry children. We rescue food that's been prepared and never served," Cultivate co-founder, general manager and executive chef Randy says. "Because of your support, it [has] financially helped to be in my beautiful, brand-new kitchen in a new facility, so we could feed more children in our area."
"All those kinds of stories are why we're here after 14 years," Rach says. "Thank you to our guests and viewers for keeping us here." ❤️
