Today, Chef Teach Is a Mac and Cheese Master — But He Was Once Pitbull's Manager

Derrick Turton — a.k.a. "Chef Teach" — may be well on his way to becoming world renowned for his World Famous House of Mac restaurants in Miami. But here’s a fun fact: Before he owned the mini mac and cheese empire, which started as a concept for a food truck in 2014 before swiftly metamorphosing into three brick and mortar locations across the Floridian hotspot, he was in music. 

And not just dabbling — he was the Pitbull's manager! 

But as he puts it, "It came to a point where I felt like I was focusing all my time and energy on building other people’s stuff and not really focusing on my own." And the thing he wanted to focus on? The "sacred" dish of mac and cheese.
