John shares his festive Thanksgiving cocktail, made with vodka, cranberry juice, hard cider + cinnamon.
John named it the Gobbler Cobbler because he's serving it on Turkey Day and it includes apples (in the form of cider) and cinnamon—classic cobbler ingredients.
The drink is part of John and Rach's Thanksgiving feast this year, along with Rach's Turkey 2 Ways, Pub Cheese Mashed Potatoes, Cider Gravy and Cranberry Sauce.
For the simple syrup, combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat and stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Add the cinnamon sticks and let cool. Strain and refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to use.
For the cocktail, shake together the vodka, lemon juice, cranberry juice and cinnamon simple syrup in a shaker with ice. Pour into glasses filled with ice and top off with hard cider.
Always Drink Responsibly.
