John stirs up the classic Negroni by adding a colorful, seasonal splash of blood orange juice.

As Rach says, this is a beautiful Italian cocktail that John reinvented. He loves drinks that can be assembled easily and quickly in the glass, with no need for a cocktail shaker or strainer. The Negroni is just that kind of drink.

This version is a great match for Rach's Cannelloni with Chicken and Spinach—and would also go well with her Bucatini with Bacon and Creamy Onion Sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces gin
  • 1 ½ ounces Campari
  • ¾ ounces sweet vermouth
  • ½ ounce blood orange juice
  • Blood orange peel, for garnish
  • Edible flowers, for garnish (optional)

Yield

Serves: 1

Preparation

Pour the gin, Campari, sweet vermouth and blood orange juice into an ice-filled rocks glass. Stir to chill and garnish with orange peel and edible flowers (if using).

Always Drink Responsibly.
