Nothing is more frustrating than a burnt-out Christmas light bulb — but what if you could turn yours into something else entirely?
Instead of throwing the broken ones away, "The Great Christmas Light Fight" judge Carter Oosterhouse likes to repurpose his into NEW decorations.

He puts a piece of tape over the end of the bulb, applies spray adhesive to the bulb itself and sticks it into a jar of glitter to decorate it!
So. Much. Fun.
And just like that, broken light bulbs become adorable, glittery centerpieces. You can scatter them on a table or pop a bunch of them into a clear vase!

Carter's co-host on "The Great Christmas Light Fight," Taniya Nayak, has another fun way to repurpose extra Christmas lights — using "old-school" opaque Christmas bulbs.
Make a DIY wreath using cardboard, ribbon, hot glue and broken or leftover lights!
Simply cut a donut shape out of a large piece of cardboard, wrap it using wide green ribbon and hot glue each individual bulb onto the wreath until your DIY decor is complete.
"It's great to do with the kids!" Taniya adds.
