When a viewer named Meagan revealed she was struggling to reduce cellulite, one of Instagram's top influencers and author of Do What Feels Good, Hannah Bronfman, knew just what to recommend.
"I really just have a problem with cellulite," Meagan says. "I can work out, eat clean and everything but it's still there."
Now, Hannah was quick to remind people that cellulite is normal!
"That is the key, by the way," Hannah says. "Cellulite is hereditary, we are born with it, [it] doesn't matter what you're eating."
"But we want to try to do something to reduce the appearance of it," she continues.
So, in order to combat the appearance of cellulite, Hannah shared with us a relaxing bath soak how-to that'll make your skin feel super fresh — straight from her book Do What Feels Good:
You Will Need:
- 2 tablespoons almond or jojoba oil
- 3 teaspoons carrot seed oil
- 10 drops grapefruit oil
- 5 drops fennel oil
- 5 drops lemon oil
- 5 drops cypress oil
- 5 drops rosemary oil
- 5 drops geranium oil
- 2 cups Epsom salts
Method:
- In a bowl, mix the almond or jojoba oil and carrot seed oil. Add the rest of the essential oils and mix. Pour into a glass amber dropper bottle. Drop 10-20 drops into your bath.
- Pour the Epsom salts into the bath.
- Dry brush your skin from head to toe, then soak.
Before your bath, Hannah recommends preparing your body by dry brushing, which helps with circulation and detox. Take a brush with smooth, natural fibers so that you don't hurt or damage your skin and start by brushing in an upward motion on your legs towards your heart. (Watch her demonstrate in the video above!)
Move onto your arms and other areas of your body, going towards the heart, and get ready to sweat out all the toxins in your perfect bath.
Feel free to schedule your next cellulite-tackling soak because you'll have enough mix for about 20 baths, Hannah says!
